27 pieces of the precious collection of jewels known as “Ori Castellani”
Exhibition of art and photography, curated by Maria Pia Bevilacqua and Sara Maria d’Onofrio, specially designed for dialogue with the pieces of the rich collection of the Etruscan National Museum of Villa Giulia. The exhibition brings together several nucleus of works that born from the active participation of users in a rediscovery of the artistic, cultural and archaeological heritage as well as everyone’s belongings.
At the base of all the works show off is the common concept of free work, understood both as content free of restrictions and licenses, and as a cultural asset physically usable by anyone and freely reproducible.
The exhibition will also be a special occasion for the Museum, as the 27 pieces of the precious collection of jewels known as “Ori Castellani” will finally be exposed, subject to a striking theft in 2013 and an equally resounding recovery in 2016 The work of the Carabinieri Command for the Protection of Cultural Heritage.
